soooo. crew is over. it completely took over my life and i loved every second. yes, even freezing to death daily and trying to dock in the middle of a tornado. i didn't want the season to end (still dont) but i had to question the reality of this wish when i woke up to frost this morning. visible frost. you have no idea how much i miss summer and warm weather. or maybe early crew season. hmm. on the positive side i shall now have time to focus on the social side of my life an area which the last two months have been sorely lacking. i truly apologize to everyone who i promised i would come to dances with. (though i actually did make it to the fall ball) sadly, i don't get my permit for another year and no ones parents wanted to drive us all up to boston after spending the entire day at a regatta, though they did promise to do so earlier in the week.

so yes. now i get to relax on this sunny friday afternoon, forget about the huge pile of work awaiting me tomorrow, and then head off to greenfield for the night. it has been wayy to long since i last danced

so friday night was the party which started out slow..with the strange absence of food. but after a few games of football, music and kicking ass downstairs. okay that with the exception of pool, it turned out to be a good night with ruthless rounds of some version of manhunt. which involved ditches, trailers, talking to trees, and running straight into jake. yeah. that was a good night  and i felt bad for all the people stuck at football game a few miles away...
soo then saturday morning came and it was NH champs and i had to get up at 430 to get there by 745 which was pointless cause it turned out the meeting had been at 715 so we all missed it. then the trailer ran out of gas so they drove up really late and we had to immediatly run out to begin unloading and rigging the 4 going out early that morning. our race got moved back to 10:20 which was much more reasonable because by then an extrordinarily thick layer of fog had burnt off so everything was visible. the race went reasonably well since our A boat was mostly gone due the SATs. I feel like the guys (by they way i cox a boys eight now) can be pushed harder and do better so thats what the next two weeks of practice are going to be. they're gonna hate me until it starts to pay off. someone made the mistake of mentioning that no one ever felt tired after practice so i got my answer of whether to push them harder or not. unfortunately we only have regionals left this season - we pulled out of states in order to go bigger - which means they dont have muchof a chance at placement but i have their previous times so they can see the difference. the rest of the afternoon was spent runnning back and forth with oars and rigging and derigging and loading boats and so  on. but the day went well and the weather was great though quite cold. i love my boat whether its random dane cook, giving them permission to look at swans, their ability to listen when necessary, or just the great pleasure they take out of being yelled at. its quite ironic. if i swear or have to scream at they they tell me thats the way it should be. but whatever happens i spend the entire day looking forward to crew. 
so now i get to go do hw and look forward to yg this afternoon...
